You have picked a great area to restart your passion as John and the team at Hunter Land sailing will have be able to get you the necessary gear you need.
Their club is the Hunter Hawks and they run regular social and competition days and are very easy to get along with.
One of the biggest upgrades is the 5.5m sail and Ultra carbon mast combination.
We use ours whenever the conditions are light and it opens up a lot of extra opportunities to sail that the smaller sails don't do as well in (for those slightly gravity influenced!).
If you are looking at competition racing, the Ultras put you into Performance so you might as well look at a Pod as well!
